For Applicants: Columbia Startup Lab Response to COVID-19, FAQ

At the Columbia Startup Lab (CSL), the health and safety of our founders is our top priority. As we continue to navigate the situation with COVID-19, we are mindful of state and government policy, university guidelines, and public health recommendations. 

As you know things change quickly, so please refer to this page for up-to-date information as we continue to adapt. 

 

When is the move out date for the 2019-2020 CSL cohort?

Our move out date is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2020. 

 

When is the move in date for the 2020-2021 cohort? 

Move-in is scheduled for Monday, September 9, 2020. 

 

What resources are available to CSL members? How is CSL supporting startups? 

All CSL programming continues virtually – i.e. office hours, workshops, problem-solution sessions, virtual coffee dates, etc. Additionally, all programming is offered to alumni of CSL. 

We’ve launched a #SupportStartups social media campaign – there’s a running list of our features here and in our Instagram highlights and continue to look for ways to support our members and alumni. 

 

Are you accepting applications for the 2020-2021 CSL cohort? 

Yes, applications are open through May 1. Now more than ever, we want current students and alumni to know that we are a resource available to them. We believe a community like CSL can support and guide innovators through these difficult times. Learn more and apply here

 

When we return to in-person (non-virtual) activities, what will CSL look like? 

We will confer with public health professionals, WeWork, and Columbia University to institute best practices, with health and safety as the top priority.

Effective Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 8:00pm, CSL moved online and continues as a virtual community with tailored programming, mentorship, and a supportive community of founders helping one another navigate the entrepreneurial landscape.
