Columbia Entrepreneurship Night: Silicon Valley
Monday, November 14, 2011
Following the success of Entrepreneurship Night: NYC, Columbia Engineering is sponsoring an evening of entrepreneurship open to alumni from all Columbia University schools and their guests.
The evening will kick off with keynote speaker Steve Perlman ’83CC. Steve developed QuickTime technology at Apple, founded and sold WebTV to Microsoft, then founded and invented MOVA facial capture technology that led to a special effects Academy Award for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”. He will present his new venture OnLive, which is revolutionizing video games and entertainment, as well as DIDO wireless, a fundamental breakthrough that leapfrogs current wireless technology by 10X or more.
Following the keynote, six early stage ventures will demo their companies. You will have the opportunity to meet the next wave of Columbia-based successful start-ups and network with other alumni in the region.
Monday, November 14
7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
