The EdTech Design Challenge, a 7-month initiative, kicked off in October of 2017 with a week-long design sprint in the Columbia Entrepreneurship Design Studio. Through design-thinking workshops, visits to EdTech startups, and an EdTech forum, the Columbia and Brazilian cohorts came together, formed teams, and generated ideas for EdTech solutions. Over the course of the 2017-18 academic year, the multinational teams developed their EdTech ideas into viable solutions.
The winning teams received a total of $35,000 in funding.
