Realizing that the world’s second largest spectator sport, Cricket, was missing from the $5 billion Fantasy Sports industry, Harsh Jain ’14BUS and his friends launched Dream11.com in 2009. Dream11.com is the world’s first fantasy cricket platform. In 2012, they transitioned from a free-to-play, ad-driven site to a freemium model showcasing daily paid Fantasy Cricket with no ads on the site.
Dream11.com is now the World’s No.1 Fantasy Cricket Game and boasts over 200,000 users from India alone. Dream11.com has been nominated for the award of ‘Best Online Game’ by FICCI BAF and as the ‘World’s Best New Website’ across all sports by FSTA (Fantasy Sports Trade Association) in USA. Dream11.com is also the winner of the prestigious Red Herring Global Top 100 Award, given to the top 100 start-ups worldwide and is the only Indian member of the FSTA.
Harsh Jain graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is a passionate sports fan and an ardent Fantasy Cricket & Soccer player. Harsh also founded Red Digital, one of India’s largest social media agencies, which was acquired by a large international digital agency in 2013.
