Born out of an unsuccessful quest to find skiwear that combined performance and style without an $800+ price tag, avid skiers Sara Segall ’14BUS and her husband, Steven ’13BUS, launched Orsden for the Winter ’16/17 season.
Orsden challenges the skiwear industry status quo through a direct to consumer approach that allows skiers to stop overpaying for quality. Orsden’s products not only perform on the mountain, but also feature clean, alpine fits that take skiers from the slopes to the lodge and beyond. The debut collection of jackets for men and women was featured on publications such as WWD, Forbes.com, and On the Snow, and was skied in all over the world.
Now, Orsden is preparing to launch ski pants for Winter ’17/’18 along with an après-ski capsule collection. Orsden is derived from a French term for a snow bear, ours de neige. The mythical snow bear possesses a combination of toughness and playfulness that guides this company on its quest to create wonderful products for a life well lived in the mountains.
