SUMMARY:Application Deadline: Envision Entrepreneurship
DESCRIPTION:Applications for Envision Entrepreneurship are now Open! \n(Due by October 7th\, 2017) \nApply here \nWhat is Envision Entrepreneurship?\nEnvision Entrepreneurship is a pitch competition\, hosted by Princeton\, for start-ups in frontier tech that drive large-scale impact. Our focus technologies are: \nAI/Robotics\nBiotechnology\nNanoscale (Nanotech/Fusion)\nEnhanced Interfaces (VR/AR and Brain-Machine Interfaces) \nHow is EE different?\nEE entrepreneurs work with technologies that could have deep positive impact and yet\, drastic negative consequences. EE is therefore a discussion that goes beyond the usuals in pitch competitions (e.g. market size\, bringing products to customers) to include how the start-up’s innovation fits in the bigger context of human progress (e.g. how the start-up mitigates the impact of its innovation’s negative consequences). \nWho can apply?\nAnyone with a viable idea or start-up! Envision Entrepreneurship is during the Envision Conference and we encourage all Conference participants to apply\, but the competition is open to all. If you are a Conference participant\, you may also form teams with non-participants. \nWhat do I deliver?\nTell us about your start-up idea here by October 7th 2017\, 11:59pm EST*. Your solution: \nMust be a high impact solution that harnesses one or more of our focus technologies\nMust be commercially viable and have potential for future profitability\nCan still be in incubation or prototype phase\, although teams should be able to demonstrate progress they have made so far and where they intend to go from here \nWhat will I get?\nThe top 5 finalists will pitch during the Envision Conference to conference participants\, Princeton students and our judges: \nJon Gosier (Founder\, Wounds AI and Southbox)\nDanielle Strachman (Founder and General Partner\, 1517 Fund)\nGeorgia Dinest (Director at Kernel\, Former Lead at Google X)\nJake Poliskin (Associate\, Mark Cuban Companies) \nNon-conference finalists will have the opportunity to network with our judges and other conference participants during the reception that will occur afterwards.** \nInterested in applying to the Envision Conference? Apply to the conference here by October 7th 2017\, 11:59pm EST. For queries\, contact Madhu at ms54@princeton.edu. We look forward to reading your applications! \n*Please submit one application form per team.\n**We will leave it up to finalists to decide how many members of your team will be presenting\, as long as there is at least one member present. Note that we will not be providing travel reimbursements for non-Conference participants.
