SUMMARY:Application Deadline: 2017 HITLAB Innovators Summit
DESCRIPTION:Calling All Digital Health Entrepreneurs. \nAPPLY\nFor those living with diabetes at any stage\, voice-activated technologies are the way forward in managing the condition and other essential life tasks. Novo Nordisk has teamed up with HITLAB to launch the 2017 HITLAB World Cup of Voice-Activated Technology in Diabetes\, our first World Cup focusing on a single disease. \nLast year\, 74 teams from 14 countries presented technology innovations that ranged from a tech-enabled dynamic scoliosis brace to a tool that uses 3D imaging and data analytics to better diagnose ear infections. This year\, we’re expecting our greatest turnout and concepts yet\, with prizes totaling $75\,000! Finalists will make pitches at the HITLAB Innovators Summit held in NYC on November 29th. \nConcept Parameters:\nConcepts can focus on enhancing patient outcomes\, making the management of patients more efficient\, improving health and quality of life\, or lowering healthcare costs without compromising quality. Winning entries will demonstrate an ability to effectively address the unmet needs of the type-2 diabetes community. Projects must show how the voice-activated technology solution differs from current practice\, technology\, or services available to consumers\, and they must provide a sustainable business model.
