AND SO IS YOUR CHANCE TO WIN A PIECE OF THE $250\,000 PRIZE POOL.\nThe 2020 Columbia Venture Competition (CVC) has five challenges but you may only enter one. The descriptions\, rules\, and eligibility guidelines are listed here. Each challenge will split $50\,000 among the top three winners. Four of the challenges are open to students and recent alumni (five years or less from their most current Columbia degree) from any Columbia-affiliated school\, including Barnard and Teachers College. The Undergraduate Challenge\, sponsored by Columbia College\, is open to all current Columbia College\, Columbia Engineering\, General Studies\, and Barnard College undergrads. Some highlights below: \nRULES \n\nAll the inputs and outputs of this challenge must be covered by recognized open source and creative commons licensing.\nTeams can have maximum of 5 members.\n\nPRIZES \nOne person from the selected willing team from each challenge location will win a trip to New York City to the “Reboot the Earth” Award ceremony taking place on 21 September\, 2019 at the side event of the United Nations Climate Action Summit 2019. \nThe winning solution has a chance to be incubated at one of the global United Nations Technology Innovation Labs. \nFinal solutions will stand a chance to be showcased during the week of the World Economic Forum at Davos in January 2020. \nAdditionally\, the staff who manage World Leaders Forum are also preparing for a Columbia event with the UN Youth Envoy on Sept. 17.
