Amazon purchased Body Labs in September 2017. Prior to starting Body Labs\, Bill co-founded and was CEO of CoSA (makers of After Effects\, acquired by Adobe)\, SpeechWorks (NASDAQ: SPWX\, merged with Nuance) and OpenAir\, Inc. (acquired by NetSuite).\nProfessor Avi Goldfarb is the Ellison Professor of Marketing at Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. His research focuses on the impact of information technology on marketing and on the economy. His most recent book\, Prediction Machines: The Simple Economics of Artificial Intelligence\, lifts the curtain on the AI-is-magic hype and shows how basic tools from economics provides clarity about the AI revolution and a basis for action by CEOs\, managers\, policy makers\, investors\, and entrepreneurs.\nThe discussion will be moderated by Lang Center Faculty Director Olivier Toubia\, Glaubinger Professor of Business.
