David’s passion for mentoring entrepreneurs\, and helping early-stage startups to thrive\, led him to create the integrated financial solution that EGFS provides\, from day-to-day accounting to strategic finance\, tax\, and valuation support. \nPrior to founding EGFS\, David was the first CFO for Abound Logic\, playing an integral role in building out the company’s finance and administrative infrastructure. Before that\, David was a Controller for Microsoft\, in a division that focused on creating new products and business solutions. Earlier in his career\, David was a key member of the finance team at Extreme Networks and Voice Stream Wireless and VP of Finance for Radiant Research\, where he was responsible for selling the company in two transactions and ensuring a successful exit for investors and management. \nAfter graduating from Georgetown University with degrees in accounting and finance\, David started his career on Wall Street doing mergers and acquisitions work for Deloitte & Touche. DESCRIPTION:Design Sprint: Developing Early Stage Startup Ideas\nWith Adam Royalty\, Designer in Residence\nRegister Here\nWhat: A two week sprint focusing on founder idea fit and customer exploration \nWhen: Founder idea fit; Friday 11/13/15\, 1pm — 3pm.  Customer Exploration; Friday 11/20/15\, 1pm — 3pm. \nWhere: Room 430 Riverside Church; There is a central elevator bank that you can assess from Claremont Street. Go to the fourth floor and turn left. \nThis sprint is designed for students who have a problem they are excited to solve or an idea they want to explore. This is also an opportunity for students who may not have an venture in mind but want to help work on someone else’s. \nThe first session will focus on flushing out ideas and figuring out how to use the strenghts of a founding team. Applying design tools to uncover needs and frame problems will highlight the second session. \nNote: it is recommended\, but not required\, that people experience both sessions.

He is currently developing a new cognitive enhancement technology called Halo Neuro and an application for better discussions called Knotable. He’s an advisor to Fon\, the world’s largest wifi network. He also advises Payfone (mobile payments)\, Work Market (platform for labor resources)\, and Ouya (open source game console). \nAmol co-founded Peek as its CEO through worldwide product launches and raised over $25 million from top venture capital firms including RRE Ventures and Bharti SoftBank (which acquired it in 2012). He’s an original member of the Founders’ Roundtable in New York\, a group of 300+ venture-backed startup founders that has met monthly since 2006\, and has touched dozens of VC-backed startups and many of the top founders in NYC.
