In*clued founded by Soo-Jin Kim ’10BUS

Soo-Jin Kim ’10BUS founded Inclued as an open table for corporate events sourcing venues (private rooms) and menus (caterers) for corporations free of charge in September 2012.  Since the opening of the Columbia Startup Lab, the outstanding Inclued team has catered all of our events and sourced all of our venues.  We can’t say enough about this proud Columbia-born, female-founded startup.

Unlike most event planning business models which charge the users, Soo-jin decided to charge the restaurants for bringing them large businesses so the service can remain free for users. Soo-jin taught herself 5 web programming languages while leading a nationwide salesforce at American Express to launch her website www.inclued.com.  Soon after launch, in-clued expanded to offering drop-off & full-service catering service to address the client’s growing demands for in-office events.

A word play on “clue-in”, Inclued has curated & developed partnerships with 400 private venues and caterers.  2015 was an exciting year for Inclued with a new website to debut in Spring/Summer of 2015 as well as a full roll out of their premium black label service, which includes wedding & full scale event production/planning service

In-clued’s vision is to set a new industry standard for planning events.  Please continue to support them so thousands more can seamlessly source high-quality venues and caterers. If you or your office have any large group planning needs (party size +30), please let them know at requests@inclued.com.
