Founded in 2010 by Columbia MBA classmates Alexey Sokolin ’13BUS, ’13LAW and Ben Zhuk ’11BUS, NestEgg provides sophisticated, tailored, and actionable wealth management advice to regular investors. NestEgg has partnered with Columbia University professors to build a low cost global asset allocation tool and create a content driven distribution strategy based on the workflow models of high-end financial advisors.
NestEgg currently operates as a private label platform for financial institutions with an existing client base. They help firms service their emerging affluent clients with a next generation approach that combines the best of personal finance management, using their existing investment selection and advisory assets.
Alexey Sokolin is a founder and CEO of NestEgg Wealth, a next-generation online wealth management firm. Previously, Mr. Sokolin was an investment banker at Deutsche Bank in the financial institutions and media and technology groups, and a member of the Strategy team at Barclays Wealth, where he focused on the economics of new ventures and management of the group’s profitability. Prior to Barclays, Mr. Sokolin was at Lehman Brothers in the investment management division. He received his B.A. cum laude in Economics and Law from Amherst College, and a JD/MBA from Columbia University, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
