The Earth Institute’s Research Program on Sustainability Policy and Management invites you to Social Value Investing: The Success of Cross-Sector Partnerships on Monday, September 17th, at 6:00pm at Columbia University.

Columbia professors Howard W. Buffett and William B. Eimicke recently published the book Social Value Investing: A Management Framework for Effective Partnerships, which presents a new way to approach some of society’s most difficult and intractable challenges—through new partnerships bringing together leaders from the public, private, and philanthropic sectors. We invite you to explore this exciting, new, emerging area of public policy with a panel discussion of several compelling stories of cross-sector partnerships from around the world, several of which are presented in the book.

The event, held at Columbia’s iconic Low Memorial Library, will begin with a reception at 6:00pm with wine, beer, and hors d’oeuvres.

The panel discussion, moderated by William Eimicke, will begin at 7:00pm with opening remarks from Steven Cohen, director of the Research Program on Sustainability Policy and Management, and Howard Buffett. Additional speakers to be confirmed.
