Joshua Elder is pursuing a Master’s in Public Affairs with a focus on Urban and Social Policy at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. Joshua began his career as a middle school science teacher and taught in both traditional public and charter schools in the US. Prior to SIPA, Josh spent the last five years in South Africa where he was the co-founder and chief academic officer of a chain of low-cost private schools.
