If you can’t find it on AllTheRooms, it doesn’t exist.
That’s the claim of co-founders William Beckler LAW’00 and Joseph DiTomaso BUS’03 who created AllTheRooms as the world’s first and only truly complete accommodation search engine. Where existing search engines only provide users with a limited and biased experience, AllTheRooms looks to consolidate every room on the planet by combining hotels with homestays like Airbnb, secret deals like Hotwire, and all other types of accommodations.
“Hotel-focused metasearch engines, such as Kayak and Trivago, never present the traveler with all the rooms available in a given destination” says DiTomaso “this forces the consumer to visit multiple sites before making the accommodation booking. We save the customer time and money by combining absolutely every room on the internet into one well designed search engine.”
Beckler and DiTomaso were physics lab partners at Colgate University and long-time colleagues. Beckler had worked at Travelocity and DiTomaso was with Morgan Stanley. Together they launched AllTheRooms early in 2014.
Shortly after launching their beta platform, AllTheRooms recently closed on $1.1 Million seed round. In fact, due to significant demand and oversubscription, the initial financing proposal was upsized. Investors include family and friends, lead investor New York Angels, and co-investors 37 Angels and EF Angels. AllTheRooms is located in the travel capital of the world, New York City.
