autoCEQR

Founded by Daniel Sheehan ‘16DSI and Matthew Sloane, autoCEQR is a software platform that automates environmental planning technical analyses as required by the NYC City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR) for real estate development projects.

The autoCEQR team recognized that environmental consulting projects within New York City navigating the CEQR process require standardized analyses, data, and reports that rely on spatial data analysis tools.  Through leveraging  programmatic automation tools, the autoCEQR team works to reduce, and in some cases eliminate entirely, manual analyses, data, and map production, reducing time spent on these tasks from days and weeks to minutes.

By using these programmatic automation tools, autoCEQR ensures:

  • The most up-to-date data: our datasets are updated daily from publicly available sources, which ensures the product you receive is predicated on the most current data
  • Accuracy of Analyses: analysis methodologies prescribed in the CEQR Technical Manual are coded into our software, eliminating human error and creating certainty.
  • Cost and Time Savings: the tasks the autoCEQR platform automates can take a consultant hours, days, or weeks to do manually, depending on the size and scope of the project.
