Paper Me Press allows users to turn themselves into cartoons using just a photo of their face. Founded in 2012 by Sarah Hsu, ’11SOA ‘06CC, an artist, and Frank Provenzano, ’12SEAS, a programmer specializing in image processing, the site uses custom algorithms in combination with original art to enable users to “Paper” themselves — users can then place themselves in the cartoon scenes that appear on products for purchase.
Whether it’s for a child’s birthday, a holiday greeting card, or just an extra-special gift, there’s a “Paper Me” for every occasion. Paper Me Press plans to sell a variety of custom items including cards, lunchboxes, puzzles, and placemats. With over a hundred and fifty product designs and thousands of assets to chose from, Paper Me Press truly is the most unique online printing press.
Paper Me is currently in a private beta and will soon be inviting new guests to come and preview their software and products. Look for their launch in 2015!
