While attending Oxford Matthew Himelstein ‘02CC and his Business School friend Michael Ferguson realized that the fantasy sports world had seen relatively little innovation in the last 20 years. Focusing on a key problem for fantasy sports fans, Swoopt was created to allow fantasy sports players to enter into legal fantasy sports for cash contests directly from their mobile phones.
Swoopt has received investment from i/o Ventures, Tandem Capital and the co-founders of Admob, BitTorrent and MySpace. Doug Bergeron, past-CEO of VeriFone sits on the Board. Swoopt is currently in the iTunes app store and the Google Play store:

Matthew was an All-American football player for Columbia University and steadfastly believes that the daily trips to Baker field helped forge relationships that have empowered his ability to lead the Swoopt team. Based in San Francisco, Matthew still reminisces about late-night slices from Koronet Pizza.
