NEOVEL Technologies was founded by Adam Hurst, Ph.D. and Nick Petrone, Ph.D.. Both Adam and Nick received their doctorates from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science. Their research at Columbia involved the fabrication of flexible electronics from advanced nanomaterials. NEOVEL Technologies capitalizes on this fabrication expertise to develop novel flexible displays.
NEOVEL Technologies develops stretchable electronics. NEOVEL advances current organic light emitting diode (OLED) technology by replacing all rigid and opaque components with elastic and transparent nanomaterials. The result is a video display with the functionality of a TV, yet as stretchable as rubber and as transparent as glass. This innovative technology penetrates a current technological gap in the flexible display market, providing enhanced flexibility with the addition of elasticity. The improved mechanical properties result in a transformative technology, enabling a wide array of novel conformal and wearable electronics.
