New York, August 21, 2018 – Kinnos Inc. today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted Kinnos its first patent on the Highlight® color additive. Highlight® colorizes bleach solutions to visualize full coverage, modifies the liquid properties to allow bleach solutions to fully spread and adhere to waterproof surfaces, and fades in color to indicate when the contact time has been met and decontamination is done.

The patent confirms the novelty of the Highlight® formula and the concept of using a point-of-use color additive with disinfectants for visualizing disinfection. Kinnos has patent applications pending on additional formulas of Highlight® as well as its Highlight® Wipes lid and cartridge technology.
A trademark for Kinnos was also recently granted by the USPTO, protecting Kinnos’s brand as an innovative infection prevention company.
