Many entrepreneurs, business owners and service/trade professionals are “accidental salespeople” that find themselves in a client development role where they must balance their area of professional expertise with their new customers generation goals. “Selling for the “Non-Selling” Professional” acknowledged that many of these “accidental salespeople” experience frustration throughout the selling process. Oftentimes, this frustration is caused by a feeling of not being in control when interacting with buyers. Others feel that in order to accomplish success one must act in a subservient manner to the prospect. This session examined some of the issues that create frustration due to the natural tension between those two roles and ways to overcome them with a new and fresh look at the selling process.
