How to Dive Into Intrapreneurship and Experiential Learning

Not sure about starting a business, but know that you want to be an agile, creative thinker? Excited about experiential learning, and getting out of the classroom to put your skills to use on real problems in real time? Here are some resources to get you on your way:

Sign up and stay connected.

Sign up for our newsletter, and follow us on social media (TwitterInstagram, and we’re also on Facebook and LinkedIn). That’s where you’ll know about opportunities like hackathons, innovation challenges, and opportunities to work with organizations in NYC and around the world that are looking to make an impact.

Get involved with our Design Studio or classes like Hacking for Defense.

Our Design Studio teaches skills for approaching seemingly intractable problems with creativity and empathy – and then gets you out in the field to make an impact. This year’s programming, such as Design for Social Innovation, will engage with important local communities in NYC, but may also take students to  work with populations in Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, and Brazil.

Hacking for Defense similarly gives an opportunity to work with mission-driven organizations, this time with a focus on the federal government.

Historically these have been made available for the Fall semester, so keep an eye out for when applications open.

Get inspired and meet fellow innovators at events.

Our calendar keeps track of innovations events around campus, but also be sure to sign up for our newsletter to get reminders!
